Profile

I bring up Linux on hardware that vendors won’t help with. For six-plus years I’ve ported, debugged and maintained Linux across ARM64 SoCs — NVIDIA Tegra, Qualcomm Snapdragon, MediaTek — and on consumer devices that ship locked down.

I work the whole vertical — bootloader (U-Boot, lk), device tree, kernel drivers (display, clocks, PMIC, GIC, input), userspace compositor (Mir, Lomiri, KDE Plasma), distro packaging (Fedora, Debian/Ubuntu, Gentoo) and the CI/CD that ships it.

Most of it happens in public

  • Founder & lead of Linux 4 Switch (L4S) — desktop Linux on the Nintendo Switch
  • Named maintainer of L4T Fedora at Switchroot
  • Mainline kernel for the Tegra X1 / Tegra210b01
  • An active LKML series upstreaming the PocketDS handheld
  • Upstream Lomiri & qtmir (UBports)
  • Ubuntu Touch on the Galaxy Z Fold 3
  • Mir 2.x enabling native Wayland under Lomiri
  • postmarketOS / Ubuntu Touch on the Galaxy Tab S9 (SM8550)
  • llama.cpp / vLLM on AMD ROCm (Strix Halo + Radeon 7900 XTX)

I operate as Director of Azkali Limited, a Hong Kong incorporated low-level engineering company.

Beyond the kernel

French by birth, settled in Thailand, and rarely in one place for long.

The travelling is part of how I work: a good UART cable, a laptop, and a kernel that won’t boot are portable problems. Between bring-ups I write anime reviews on the blog, chase new languages, and follow whatever curiosity is loudest that month — usually something with a frozen vendor kernel and a “this is impossible” attached to it.
